Guidelines for oral and poster presentation
All presentations must be in English
Keynote lecture – up to 40 min
Invited lecture – 25 min + 5 min questions
Oral presentation – 10 min + 5 min questions
It is not allowed to use personal computers for presentation. We would like to receive and check your presentations in advance. Please, be ready to upload your presentation and all additional files at least one day before your talk.
Presentations should be prepared in MS Power Point (.ppt or .pptx). Also, .pdf files are eligible to use. Please, do not use other formats such as Open Office, Libre Office etc.
Slides size should be 16:9. Please, do not use 4:3 size. Look at or use this template to create your presentation.
If the presentation includes audio/video, participants should provide additionally original audio/video files to be downloaded together with your presentation. Please, contact the organizers (firstname.lastname@example.org), if you need special audio/video equipment.
All posters will be exhibited during all days of the Congress.
The maximal size of each poster is 84×110 cm; vertical orientation (portrait)
Poster presentations should be printed by participants in advance.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Participants are invited to submit electronic abstracts on their scientific research or methodological problems. The deadline for students and young researchers is April 10, 2017 and for regular participants is April 30, 2017. Abstracts will be reviewed by the advisory board which will notify authors on their acceptance/ rejection by the end of May. If it is necessary, the advisory board can change the symposium/ topic block of submitted abstracts what will be agreed upon with presenting authors.
It is required to be a registered participant to submit an abstract.
Congress participants may choose the type of participation (oral or poster presentation). The oral presentation includes 15 min report + 5 min answering questions. Poster sessions are included in the Congress program (45–60 min)
Contributed abstracts may be submitted as a poster, oral, or poster & oral presentations;
One first author may contribute with 2 abstracts at the most (only one of them can be oral presentation);
Payment of the registration fee by a presenting author by April 30, 2017 is mandatory;
Abstracts are submitted in English, carefully proofread to minimize typographical and grammatical errors, using the online abstract submission system;
Authors are responsible to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be published as submitted by an author.
You may choose whether to submit abstract in doc or in docx format.
Please note that the abstracts submission online system and the registration online system are SEPARATE ONES. First one have to register at the registration online system and to pay the registration fee (please go to “Registration” to do this), and then to submit abstract in the abstracts submission online system.
Abstract template for the 4th international congress on invertebrate morphology:

Abstract body — Times New Roman, 12 — 1,5 interval. Maximum size 250 words — 1 page A4.
Text should contain next parts:
1. Objectives — 2–3 sentences
2. Material and methods — 1–2 sentences
3. Results — 7–8 sentences
4. Short discussion and conclusions — 4–5 sentences.
Please, do not use any illustrations, tables, notes, references, subtitles and manual hyphenation in the abstract. Put financial support as last paragraph of an abstract body if needed. Use upper and lower indexes if necessary. Latin names must be italicized. Author and year of the taxon name must be mentioned only once and must not be italicized.
Recommended format for poster presentations is A0. Poster presentations should be printed by participants in advance.
To upload abstracts in the abstracts submission system
Step 1: Register at the site of abstract submission. Fill in the Participant’s Registration Form. After registration you will receive a registration confirmation via email. To activate your profile click on the link, sent to you in the registration confirmation message.
Step 2: Choose the type of abstract (oral or poster presentation). Then fill in all the mandatory fields for abstract submission. Then upload abstract in doc or docx format. The uploaded file has to be formatted in accordance with the abstract template (please see above). Press “Upload file and complete Submission”. After that your abstracts are saved in your profile.
Please note that the abstracts from the uploaded files will be published in the Abstract Book (if accepted).
