Moscow is a popular tourist site for those who admire arts and culture and want to learn more about history of the largest country in the world.

For those who are interested in the Orthodox culture and traditions we suggest taking a tour around city centre to have a look at the ancient churches and cathedrals that survived through all these ages.
Moscow also attracts young travellers by offering 24 hour activities including various music concerts, modern art exhibitions and night clubs.
Places for walking
With its variety of parks and gardens Moscow is actually very green! You can find cozy green corners to hide from the summer heat both in the centre and in the modern quarters. MSU Apothecary Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Moscow. This tiny paradise park becomes more and more popular among foreigners and Muscovites. Definitely, worth taking a walk along its carp pond to the orangery stopping by the oldest larch tree planted by Peter the Great himself.
Riding a bike in Moscow could be tricky, but it’s worth trying at least in the Gorki park or some other green areas
For experienced cyclists there is a bike rent net in the city center
Moscow Metro architecture
To take a plunge into Soviet era culture and arts you don't need to visit any special places. Just take a ride in Moscow Metro that is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2016
Mid-Conference tour and excursions
For Mid-Conference tour we plan to organize several alternatives including excursions in the city centre or a bus trip to ancient town of Zvenigorod. However, in the afternoon we would like to take attendees to Zvenigorod biological station of MSU for a picnic style barbecue dinner. Please note that this is not included in the registration fee and ha to be paid extra.
We also would like to offer several zoology related activities for participants:
